In 2000 a North Devon detached property had stood empty for 3 years. Not so unusual in rural North Devon, but a crying shame in Woolacombe on the North Devon Coast line. We fell in love with The Albatross the moment we set eyes on it and took in its breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic coastline. Ever since we have spent holidays, weekends and work-from-home days intoxicated by the coastal lifestyle it offers. Family and friends have shared time amongst the rock pools, walking the 2+ mile beach and surfing the Atlantic waves. More recently we have shared our seaside home with others.
Very occassionally albatrosses have been reported on this coastline but we are yet to see one out-flying the herring gulls.
