Woolacombe Bay
The main beach is 2.5 mls long with Putsborough Beach cafe at the far end to make the walk worthwhile. There are three other beaches on the doorstep. Barricane is the shell beach with a sheltered swimming lagoon at high tide, and real mugs of tea not to mention genuine Sri Lankan curries. Coombsgate is a most beautiful beach but only best for 2 hours either side of low tide. Grunta is secluded and unspoilt.
